Three Reasons To Visit a Wedding Fair

1. To meet  all your wedding suppliers in one place
2. Samples. Freebees and discounts
3. Wedding Inspiration

Arranging a wedding a can be hectic and you can easily find all your weekends become booked up with finding suppliers, visiting countless dress shops to only find yourself uncertain on which is the right decision to make.

We feel that what's great about a wedding fayre is that you get to meet the faces behind the google searches. Here at Athehampton House we feel that the person behind the business is as important as the product. That's why we have certain suppliers who we would recommend time and time again.

But ultimately we feel that it's up to our Brides and Grooms to go with the supplier who they feel can fulfil their wedding dreams at their personal budget. Now a wedding fayre is the perfect opportunity to meet all these suppliers under one roof. As well as gathering inspiration and possibly finding that perfect addition to your wedding that you didn't know that you just had to have.... here are some photos from the Weymouth Pavilion Wedding Fair.

The Decadetted a 4-part vocal harmony group who preform numbers from  through-out the decades by those who love singing.

Three of the stunning ladies turned up styled in complementing 1950's dresses and harmonised through several songs from the 1940's onwards accompanied with swaying and choreography.

The quartette would make a stunning a-complement to a vintage wedding at Athelhampton.

They alter their dresses in-house meaning that your dress won't need to be sent off at any point. I personally purchased my own wedding dress from Wedding Time in Dorchester and can honestly say that  the service they offered was impeccable. Especially as I choose my dress 4 months before my big day and time was of the essence.

We really enjoyed creating an eye-catching display with the help of the Poudbury Florist who provided us with a show stopping display! We were lucky enough to be sitting next to John of Columbia Photography who has worked many weddings at Athelhampton, which were showcased in his stunning Albums!

Turquoise Wedding

Turquoise Wedding

Turquoise is such a serene colour that works beautifully at a wedding. You could bypass flowers as part of your table display in favour of a large central candle display. Touches of silver or gold compliment turquoise equally well.

Bohemian Bride Table

This theme reminds me of hazy summer nights abroad. The detailing on vases and use of gold make evoke images of Morocco. The open fuchsia blooms add an exotic charm. Add a pretty table runner or use napkins to add pattern to your table. Paper napkins are an affordable way to add extra interest or detailing to a table on a budget.

I often see gold and silver used as part wedding themes but not copper. I think copper would work really well for an Autumnal wedding reflecting the colours of the season. Hiring copper cutlery would really add a wow to your table and accents of blue greens work well with orange. Why not serve winter Pimms and finish with complimenting straws?

Quirky wedding

Quirky wedding

A little bit vintage and a little bit quirky! Think Mad Hatters tea party meets country wedding. Seek out unique and fun table centres like the hare cake stand or bird branch candelabra. Bring the garden indoors with potted plants in pretty cream ceramics. Pops of colour can be added through stacking macaroons or themed framed art work. Try to avoid too much colour to avoid it looking too cluttered or busy, as this will distract from the more intricate details.

Sunny Yellow theme

Yellow theme

Yellow and white work really well together and pops of yellow really add an essence of fun to a wedding. A yellow and white table centre/or runner layered with an intricate vase which contrasts beautifully with simple yellow stems flowers. Other ways to add colour could be through ribbon which could be used to embellish your wedding favours.
